Hi all, I just found came across this forum, and have a couple questions about the eligibility of my car for collector status.

The vehicle in question is a 1998 Oldsmobile LSS with the supercharged 3.8 buick motor. I have heard the rules regarding defunct manufacturers like Olds and Pontiac for example, are somewhat different from the normal age restrictions. I have also heard the production numbers can also be a factor, and that there is now a modified classification, and my car is modified. From what I understand, in 1998 Oldsmobile produced approximately 50,000 LSS’s, but only about 5,000 recieved the supercharged L67 motor.

Any information would be greatly appreciated, as the most recent Autoplan agent I spoke to was less than informed.

    Kevin
